Welcome to Little Dog Art Studios – I'm glad you're here.
My name is Tim Colomer. I'm a United States Marine Corps combat veteran and former bomb squad technician. I spent years walking toward danger—disarming explosives and facing the unthinkable. But when I was wounded in Iraq, life changed in an instant.
In the aftermath, I struggled with PTSD and a traumatic brain injury. It was a dark season, and for a while, I didn’t know how to make sense of everything I’d been through. That’s when I discovered art—not just as a hobby, but as a lifeline. What started as therapy became a passion, and eventually, a profession.
Now, I paint to heal, to honor, to connect, and to bring joy. Whether I’m creating lighthearted pet portraits, powerful pieces about war and recovery, or meaningful commissions for others, every brushstroke comes from a place of purpose.
Thank you for visiting my site. I hope you find something here that speaks to you—something that makes you feel understood, inspired, or simply brings a smile.

The painting is absolutely stunning, capturing every detail with so much personality and charm. The artist was an absolute pleasure to work with—responsive, creative, and genuinely invested in making sure the final product was perfect. The entire process was seamless, and the end result is a piece of art I will treasure forever. If you’re considering working with Tim, don’t hesitate—I can’t recommend him enough!”

“Absolutely incredible. I commissioned Tim with a price in mind and an idea. He took the idea and brought it to life so much so that I began crying when I opened the painting for the first time.”
